NSU Florida is seeking a Graduate Academic Advisor I to join the H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship, providing guidance to students on academic progress, course selection, and career planning.
Position: Graduate Academic Advisor
- Maintain knowledge of program and course requirements; build relationships with faculty.
- Track and monitor student academic progress for assigned cohorts or programs.
- Review and resolve coursework extensions based on established policies.
- Advise students on course selection, academic progress, and career decisions.
- Counsel students on educational issues, including program selection, scheduling, and withdrawals.
- Assist students with personal or behavioral issues affecting their education.
- Ensure students meet graduation requirements and advise on graduate education or residency entrance.
- Provide students with information on degree programs, admissions, and financial aid.
- Participate in recruitment, enrollment, and outreach activities.
- Maintain accurate student records and prepare reports as required.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: Up to two (2) years of student advising experience in an academic environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree
